target market
priscilla appeals directly to the young, ambitious woman. Her age range extends from the early twenties to the mid-thirties. With a market segment including women just entering the industry, as well as those who have been in the professional industry for many years, where sharp dress is required and admired. Our customer has an annual income of $80k, and lives an enthralling, albeit busy life. Finding time to better herself through pilates, yoga, running, spa visits, and a plethora of activities that enrich her life culturally (i.e., attending gallery openings, frequenting museums, and being a regular at her favorite night clubs and jazz bars), she is well rounded , physically fit, and a joy to be around. Vacationing in the summer finds her in any tropical climate with an apple martini in hand and friends afoot. She also enjoys the occasional snowboarding or skiing excursion with friends and family – she’ll tell you she likes Tahoe the best, but anywhere with fresh powder will suffice.

backstory
Tick Tock…Tick tock… Tick tock …time passing slowly and the sound of empty space created numbness in the atmosphere. Everyone had gone home, everyone but Isabella. Isabella the Director of Advertising and Marketing at the Ford modeling agency, was no stranger to long hours alone in the office. At the young age of 25yrs old she had already accomplished much in her career. On the other hand, here she was bored and annoyed with sore feet and a productive day behind her. The coming of night left something to be desired. With time passing she began to think of her options. She could attempt to get it together and listen to her fingertips pounding against the keys of her digital nemesis or …she could say the hell with it and just go home, maybe even go out with the girls. She tried to shake her Jones for freedom and stay on task but, tick tock… tick tock …then her mind went blank. Isabella drifted into bliss. Longing for the night life, her imagination filled with images of lights and dancing.

Tick tock…Tick tock…she decided to leave the office and enjoy a night on the town. Isabella called a cab and quickly closed the office for the night. She was on her way to the promise land. Once in the cab Isabella could only think of the fun she would have. The cabby took a left onto 6th on 7th and she remembered that she forgot one small but important detail, what she would wear? She began to mentally pick and choose through her closet filled with Bob Mackie, Patty Shelabarger, Anna Sui, Betsy Johnson and so on but nothing seemed to match her mood. Isabella was no plain Jane cooperate executive, she was a D.I.V.A. (Excuse me… Determined Inspired Vixen with Attitude) she wanted to display her finesse and self confidence. She wanted to wear something that captured her desire for excitement, something that would display her inner qualities on the outside. Isabella became anxious and looked at her watch. The time now was 8:00PM. She realized she still had time to run by inner revolutions, the new fashion rave in the industry. Isabella and cabby made it to the boutique where she found her ensemble.
As soon as she got home she called her girlfriends to plan the evening and brag about her new outfit. . Soon after talking with her friends she put in a C.D., City High. “Carmel” was her favorite song. She turned the radio up and laid out her new clothes and began to dance around the room. Free at last, well almost anyway, she thought as she took her shower and got ready. By 11:30PM she was ready to go. She caught a cab and met her girls at the hot spot. The bouncer immediately let them in. As they entered the room all eyes were on her and everyone was admiring her style. Isabella continued to dance the night away. She and her friends were very content with their choice for the evening, far, far away from the office and their daily responsibilities. For that night Isabella truly felt like a celebrity. She was already important but now with a touch of flare. As the night came to a close she realized that all she needed just 8 hours ago was a little fun and a new environment to express her self. Later on that night she slept soundly knowing that her escape was not in v

industry critiques
Each team created a press kit which was sent to buyers at Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's, and the local upscale boutique Effie's. The buyers provided each team with formal feedback related to overall design of the collection, salability, and also provided advise on ways to improve their presentation and develop their design concepts as they progressed through the apparel design curriculum.
